Iowa Careers in Energy Pathways
Energy producers, service providers, and other related employers are invited to join for a series of interactive virtual roundtable sessions to offer industry guidance and insight for a new project to develop promotional materials for a wide range of exciting energy careers in Iowa. A small number of seats are also open for educators and other support partners. Choose from the below dates and times that fit best for you, beginning next Monday, 05/10! Registration will be accepted up to the start of each event.
This new project is made possible through an innovative public and private partnership between the Iowa Department of Education, Iowa Energy Workforce Consortium (IEWC), Governor's STEM Advisory Council, Iowa Association of Municipal Utilities (IAMU), Iowa Association of Energy Efficiency (IAEE), and the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives (IAEC). This project also supports the Future Ready Iowa initiative's goal of having 70 percent of Iowans with education or training beyond high school by 2025 to ensure that our workforce has the necessary skills and education to be successful.
Similar projects were completed for other industries like Information Technology, Building Trades, and Advanced Manufacturing and can be downloaded at SectorPartnerhips.EducateIowa.gov or www.FutureReadyIowa.gov. Contact Joe.Collins@iowa.gov for additional information about this project and to offer any feedback if unable to attend. Thank you.
